2012-2013 Research on tufted installations

In 2012-2013 I worked at the TextileLab|TextileMuseum with Karen Zeedijk towards tufted installations. Normal tufting involves a U-shaped piece of yarn through one side of a backing fabric. Our research concerned a work method tufting both sides of the backing fabric. And to keep parts in the backing fabric open, making the underlaying drawing partly visable. The end results are installations that could be seen from both sides, placed in open space.

Studio JKL is transforming towards an interdisciplinary studio.

Keen on Collaboration and materiality. We are currently working on a new website.
